Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve The Bienvenido Kenya safaris will begin with early morning pick up from your Nairobi hotel or from the airport. After a short brief by your Bienvenido Kenya safaris guide, you will start your journey to Masai Mara National Reserve located south west part of Kenya driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley landscapes and its escarpments. The drive takes about 4- 5 hours ,you will arrive at your lodge or tented camp just in time for lunch and then followed by a brief rest. The afternoon will begin with a game drive across the vast savannah plains of the Mara, home to the spectacular wildlife occurrences of the Great Migration of wildebeest, home to Africa’s Big Five – lion, elephant, Rhino, leopard and Buffalo. Maasai mara is also home to a great diversity of wildlife and some big cats such as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, nocturnal porcupines, hyenas and Great bird species. After the afternoon game drive you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner entertained by Masaai moran dancers or simply having a talk beside a bonfire before retiring to bed. Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara The second day will begin with a early morning game drive to explore the Mara savannah plains for the predators in action because this is their most active hours. It is more magical to capture a moments of an active hunt as the sun begins to rise . Return to the camp for breakfast and begin to prepare to set out again with a packed lunch for a full day game drive. During the game drive the guide will lead you into the vast savannah plains where you will see a number of wildlife including hippos and crocodiles found in Mara River. If you’re visiting during July – October period you may be lucky enough to see part of the Great Migration especially the dramatic river crossings of millions of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes across the crocodiles infested Mara River or hunted by predators hiding in the nearby bushes. During the evening you can visit a local Maasai village to learn about the Maasai traditions ,their dances and their daily way of life Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park After the breakfast, you will depart Maasai Mara National Reserve driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru a journey of approximately 4 to 5 hours. You will be set to arrive at your lodge or camp at Lake Nakuru for lunch. After breakfast you will leave Lake Nakuru for Lake Naivasha a journey taking an average of approximately 1.5 -2 hours. You will arrive at your lodge or camp ,check in and prepare for lunch before having a boat ride in the afternoon in Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake, it is during the afternoon boat ride that you will enjoy watching hippos and a great number of bird such as African fish eagle, herons and kingfishers. Lake Naivasha is also surrounded by a good number of lower farms. Other places that can be visited include Crescent Island for a guide safari walk among the zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, impalas ,antelopes among other wildlife – There are no predators here. Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National. After having a breakfast at Naivasha we begin our journey to Amboseli National Park located south near the Tanzanian border. Arrive at Amboseli National Park for lunch, if the sky clearer you will be available to view of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.
