Fix: Build at least one buffer night in Nairobi before the safari. International flights regularly delay. Missing the day 1 group departure cannot be easily recovered on a 3-day itinerary.

Mistake 2: Planning an international flight out of Nairobi on day 3 afternoon

Fix: The return drive from the Masai Mara to Nairobi takes five to six hours. Arrival in Nairobi is typically early to mid-afternoon. International evening flights are achievable but tight. Confirm exact timing with your guide on day 2.

Mistake 3: Not arranging the balloon safari before the trip

Fix: Hot air balloon safaris over the Masai Mara must be arranged at least the evening before. Capacity is limited and peak season dates fill quickly. If the balloon is a priority, contact us before your departure date to confirm availability and pricing.

Mistake 4: Expecting Migration crossings on a specific day

Fix: River crossings are one of nature's most unpredictable events. Herds may build on the bank for days before crossing, or cross multiple times in a single hour.
