The person making the booking accepts these terms on behalf of all members of the travelling party and is responsible for ensuring all group members are aware of these terms.

- Deposit: 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable except as specified in Section 6.
- Balance payment: The balance is due in full, in cash or by the agreed payment method, at the commencement of the safari, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late bookings: For bookings made within 7 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
If full payment is not received by the applicable deadline, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and release the reserved places. In such cases, the deposit will be forfeited.
Note: All bank charges, wire transfer fees, and currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the client.
3. Accepted Payment Methods
- Bank wire transfer (international)
- M-Pesa (Kenya domestic)

All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.

Note: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cancellation cover at the time of paying your deposit.
5. Cancellation by Katulu Africa Safaris
We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to insufficient bookings for a group joining departure, force majeure events, or failure to receive full payment. Where we cancel for reasons within our control, we will offer you a full refund or an alternative comparable itinerary.
In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, we will refund amounts we are able to recover from third-party providers. Third-party cancellation policies are not within our control.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Hold a valid passport with at least six months validity beyond your return date
- Obtain all required visas and travel authorisations before departure
- Carry required health documentation including yellow fever certificate where applicable
- Arrive at departure points on the dates and times specified in your itinerary
- Follow the instructions of your guide at all times in national parks and on mountain treks
- Disclose any medical conditions, physical limitations, or dietary requirements at the time of booking
Important: Failure to hold valid travel documentation is not grounds for a refund. We are not responsible for costs arising from denied entry or delays caused by inadequate documentation.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is required as a condition of booking. Your policy must include emergency medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and baggage cover as a minimum.
For mountain trekking, your policy must specifically include high-altitude trekking cover to the summit elevation.
Note: We recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit to protect against pre-departure cancellation.
8. Governing Law
This Booking and Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from bookings made with Katulu Africa Safaris shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
